  • The objective of this study was to study the main socioeconomic and environmental parameters that influence the adaptation of small farmers and their agricultural systems to climate change and climate variability. The adaptation opportunities and limitations of small-scale agricultural systems were determined by comparing their biophysical and socioeconomic sustainability (Study I) and their vulnerability to climate change and climate variability (Study II and Study III). Data was collected by interviewing 60 households (30 agroforestry systems and 30 conventional systems) during 2015-2016.
